Although the Provision Fund is funded by borrowers, it has been established for the benefit of lenders.

The Provision Fund is established by a deed of trust. The trustee is The Trust Company. The assets of the Provision Fund do not form part of the property of RateSetter, nor of the RateSetter Lending Platform. RateSetter has no claim on the capital which is in the Provision Fund and it cannot use Provision Fund monies for its own purposes.

The money in the Provision Fund is held in cash.
